Jizo Statues

The central element to the Mizuko Kuyo is a figure of a Mizuko Jizo. This figure was important to me because it provided something tangible that represented my loss. However after speaking to a Monk at Ryosen Kwannon in Kyoto, Japan I was assured that a prayer from the Mother or Parent is the only element required to conduct a Mizuko Kuyo.

Should you wish to obtain a Jizo for the purpose of a Mizuko Kuyo ceremony we offer the following Mizuko Jizo statues:

It is said that the Mizuko are protected and take comfort inside the long sleeves of the robe that this Jizo is wearing.

This Jizo is hand crafted and is suited to an outdoor garden environment. It will weather well and improve with age.
